The true identity of Banksy is unknown. It is only known that he was born on July 28, 1974 in Bristol, United Kingdom. Banksy uses several methods to certify the authenticity of his works. Since 2009, only the company Pest Control, which is linked to the artist, has the power to validate or not his creations to prevent counterfeits. He also uses his Instagram account, and sometimes his website, to claim his stencil works.
