To keep in mind

Lichtenstein, a leading figure in Pop Art, brought the images of Epinal, portraying an America influenced by advertising and comics, to the pantheon of modern art. Following in the footsteps of Norman Rockwell (for inspiration) and alongside Andy Warhol, he invented America as we all dreamed of it. An America perpetually frozen in the smile of a pin-up, where nothing could spoil the perfection made in Hollywood... With bright colors and a unique technique recreating the pixels of magazine printing, Lichtenstein created a world that probably never existed anywhere else but in the dreams of the 1950s!
