Biography of Alékos Fassianós

Alexandre FASSIANOS (known as Alecos in his Greek first name) was born in Athens in 1935.

From 1956 to 1960, he studied at the School of Fine Arts in the Hellenic capital before coming to Paris to enrich his training with the learning of lithography.

From the early 1960s, he exhibited in Greece before Paris, and then the United States, Switzerland, and Sweden recognized the unique talent of this mischievous storyteller.

Between the mythology of the Gods of Olympus and the perpetual movement of our modern world, Fassianos freely mixes his influences and obsessions.

No work without movement, without that impetuous scarf, without that lock of hair carried away by the wind. Fassianos takes us on a journey whose borders are our own ability to bring together the images of a dreamed past and the modernity of everyday life actions; because there is something exceptional everywhere...

In this cyclist taking a break in the shade of a tree, there sleeps a Hermes, the God of travelers, watching over the roads and crossroads. Look at him, isn't it obvious!
